Steham

The Steham are a race of mountain terrestrial humanoids whom originate from the southwestern continent of Sathis. They are capable smiths, warriors and survivalists who throughout history have shown their resilience. They are a bearded people that are shorter than humans, of who have deemed them as "dwarves" a terminology that is bigoted and relates to inferiority.

The Steham have a tough immune system that can reject the toughest toxins, poisons and vapors.

The Steham have stronger, thicker and tougher bones than humans giving them high endurance and strength.

The Steham live for approximately 125 years, growing venerable & frail at 100. They grow to be adults at 15 and middle age at 55.

Durak

The steham who later became known as the iron dwarves by the humans living around them. The subrace descended from the tribe of durak have a savage drive for combat & war. Driven by a drive to make weapons, fight and drink, the durak are exceptional blacksmiths and warriors. This however has made them a confrontational people even with their own race. From the mountains in the southwestern vale & swamplands known as Zokgrokral.

Kelak

The steham who later became known as the surface dwarves by the humans living around them. The sub-race descended from the tribe of kelak have a middle intelligence with great common sense. Driven by their mastery of engineering, the kelak were the first innovators of their race for modern mining practices. Later, after the dwarven rebellions they settled on the surface and began a ages long obsession with surface construction and exploration. This heightened their abilities as shipbuilders, explorers and innovators. The innovative invention of dwarven fire came as the first of many strokes of genius from the kelak people. From an assortment of islands within the Silverfish Rush.

Sterok

The steham who later became known as the steel dwarves by the humans living around them. The sub-race descended from the tribe of sterok have always been the middle ground between their cousins, which arguably is the reason for their discontent before the dwarven rebellions. Masters of dabbling, the sterok people believed in a strong middle. This however has always made them lack specialties that their cousin races held in blacksmithing, engineering, alchemy & gemcrafting. From the mountains in the northwestern vale known as the Blackwater Vale.

Terak

The steham who later became known as the mythril dwarves by the humans living around them. The sub-race descended from the tribe of terak have always stated diplomacy, perfection and alchemy as their talents. Their sly tongue mixed with their perfectionism has always led them as being distrusted by their cousins sans the volak who are very similar people. Their weapons are less brutal as the durak dwarves, but they still maintain effectiveness.

Volak

The steham who later became known as the silver dwarves by the humans living around them. The sub-race descended from the tribe of volak have a knack for arts of finer metalworking, gemcrafting and brewing. Driven by the prospect of refining their talents, the volak have like their cousins of the terak, desired perfection. This however makes them highly sensitive to any preconceived flaws in their work. From the mountains in the southeastern desert known as The Three Sands.
